Insight Vacations is adding a collection of regional, small group van tours to its growing domestic portfolio.

Each tour will take a group of no more than 17 guests, plus a driver and guide, to locations that are not available to larger groups in one of Insight’s Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans. Tours can be booked by whole groups for a charter or by individuals or couples looking to join already-scheduled departure dates.

Each van includes outlets and USB ports, a TV monitor, and a filtered water dispenser for guests.

Announcing the news, Guy Young, the president of Insight Vacations, said that the goal with the tours is to offer a more intimate experience that continues to trend among consumers.

“There is a noticeable trend towards smaller groups, more intimate experiences, and a desire for travelers to positively impact the place they visit,” Young said. “Our small regional group tours are perfectly suited to meet these growing trends, taking our guests further off the beaten track with experiences that are only accessible through smaller transportation and smaller groups.”

To start, Insight will offer two different tours, both 7-days long.

The first is Yellowstone Discovery, which starts in Bozeman and takes guests to Big Sky and then to Yellowstone National Park before wrapping the trip up at Grand Teton National Park.

The other is The Best of Northern California, which starts and ends in San Francisco and includes the opportunity to take in the Muir Woods National Monument, Point Reyes’ Heidrun Meadery, the Mendocino Headlands State Park, and more.
