Count up how much time you have in a week to spend on your blog. Next, create a list of tasks involved in running your blog. It may look something like this:

• Research and write 3 blog posts
• Reply to comments on my blog
• Reply to comments on other blogs
• Reply to emails regarding link exchanges/guest posts
• Do some link building, submit to some directories
• Social bookmark some posts
• Check analytics
• Read industry news, check rss etc
• Work on your ebook which will make you rich when it is finally finished that you will sell for 27€ (odd numbers sell better!) like a blogging sheep

Now, order them in order of importance and calculate how much time is required for each and write it down. Ooh! you´ve just created a work plan!

Next step: Action your plan. This means, do what your plan says. Work through your tasks in order, spending the correct amount of time on each item, with no skiving on timewasting sites.

Go outside

Now you have finished being action man on your plan, go outside and interact with the real world and remember you are a human being and you are alive. Job done.
