On my travels accross the internet, I came accross a young lady called Alison who was asking for feedback on a website she had done. Being the helpful soul I am, I took a look and was absolutely shocked at what I saw. A mangled, hideous little site for a hairdressers straight out of 1993. My mouth dropped further open when she said the site WAS FOR A CLIENT! Someone had paid her to do this monstrosity, and she has set her self up as a webdesigner!

Critique

Well, here is my critique: Ignoring the looks, the site does actually provide all the necessary information. However, the text is embedded in an image so the search engines cannot find it. The page title is "untitled", no SEO benefit there. On the contact page, it says

Telephone:

and there is no telephone number. There is, however, a nice google map.

If this is the sort of hairdressers old ladies go to, job well done, as they never look at the internet and our intrepid designer Alison has pocketed 100 GBP for what looks like 2 1/2 minutes work. I predict she will be booked up with work for months at this rate, with the local co-op, Barbara´s Babysitting, and Frank´s Windowcleaning all vying for her trade. UPDATE

She kept insisting with slight variations on the design, so I knocked this up in photoshop in about 5 mins and sent it to her. Lets see what she says.
