The Valriche Nature reserve offers you a great opportunity to explore the islands located on the northern side and at the same time watch dolphins play at the Tamarin Bay.

These are a scenic tourist attraction located off the southwest of Mauritius, and are famous for the seven cataracts strategically located on the Rivere Tamarin, slightly 2 kms northwest of the big lake Mare aux Vacoas. Once there, you can be sure the waterfalls will dazzle you and if the sun would be strong enough, you could take a cool deep water bathe.

Visit L'Aventure Du Sucre museum

This is the museum that housed the former Beau Plan sugar factory and is especially a great attraction for families. You get to learn the history of slavery in Mauritius, the rum trade among many other things. The factory dates back to 1797 hence you will be guaranteed you get to sample rich architecture. You have a sweet tooth; satisfy it by tasting up to 15 types of unrefined sugar.
