I am an avid reader of many travel blogs, but the ones I like most are personal stories of the writers, as you get a real person´s perspective on a destination instead of some corporate promotional fluff. I enjoy blogs with lots of photos and that personal touch that makes me feel like I am there.
So I thought I would share some of my favorite travel bloggers at the moment, I hope you enjoy them as much as me!
Gina Stark
www.gitanablog.com (@SuuperG)
Gina originally started this blog for friends, and has since taken the plunge to become a freelance travel writer.
Her blog is full of inspiring, colorful photographs and you really see her personality shine through. Plus, she is a beautiful belly dancer, which gets her bonus points in my book!
Keep up the good work, Gina!
Seattle Dredge
www.seattlestravels.com (@SeattlesTravels)
Seattle is a Canadian travel blogger (cool name, by the way!) living in Toronto who writes about her travels around the world. Her blog has one of the coolest designs I have seen, and she takes amazing photos. She also runs her own wedding Photography company. She is also planning an Agricultural & Environmental Volunteering Expedition to The Galapagos Islands with UBELONG
Natalie Taylor
www.nearafar.wordpress.com (@nearafar)
Another blogger from Toronto who writes about her travels, food and life in general. She is also a freelance writer and photographer.
Jayne Gorman
40before30.com (@jayneytravels)
Jayne is a Londoner who writes passionately about her hobby, you guessed it....travel! Her blog is not only filled with interesting stories, but personal photographs. Her lifelong ambition is to discover all 7 continents of the world, but in the meantime Jayne has set herself a smaller challange of blogging about 40 countries before turning 30 (we are rooting for you).
Sarah V
wanderingoff.com (@Wandering_Off)
Sarah is a stay at home mom, who doesnt really like to stay at home. From her new hometown of Las Vegas she likes to blog about her travels with her family, which is great for those with children. As well as blogging about her travels overseas, she also writes about trips closer to home.
Monica Stott
thetravelhack.com (@TheTravelHack)
Monica is from the UK and is a self confessed travelholic who likes to blog about her travels through South East Asia and Down Under. She studies journalism and if her blog is anything to go by, she will be very successful!
Go and check out these guy’s blogs give them some link love, shout them out on twitter and subscribe to their RSS feeds, they deserve it!
If you have any suggestions for other great travel writers you think deserve recognition, let me know in the comments!
