Ski and snowboard infrastructures

As one of the oldest ski resorts in France, Les Deux Alpes has an elaborate system of ski runs and related infrastructures, part of which remains in operation even during the summer. There are 100 marked slopes positioned in the immediate vicinity of Les 2 Alpes, including 21 green, 47 blue, 19 red and 13 black runs. 214 cannons are used to prepare the runs and a total of 51 ski lifts are serving the visitors, with 3 gondolas used for transport between remote parts of the valley, upper reaches of the glacier and central part of the resort.  This is a popular destination for snowboarders as well due to presence of a modern, well equipped snowpark, while beginners can turn to a ski school (one of the largest ski schools in France in located here) for assistance with making the first steps on the snow. A summer ski area measuring 272 acres is located mostly on the glacier above the resort and attracts many sport enthusiasts every year.

Transportation and leisure-time activities

Les 2 Alpes ski resort is situated in the Isere department, around 70 kilometers southeast from Grenoble. Access to the resort is possible by bus or car, with transfers provided from several nearby airports.
